IBG is proud to partner with Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) and Swedfund International on a feasibility study for the deployment of Remote Digital Tower technology in Ukraine.
The project is an important step in exploring how modern, resilient and cost-efficient air traffic services can support the recovery and future development of Ukraine’s aviation infrastructure.
As part of the study, the IBG team recently conducted on-site workshops in Ukraine together with key stakeholders. The discussions focused on the operational, technical and regulatory conditions required for the introduction of Remote Digital Tower operations, including certification, implementation, training and future operational needs.
The workshops provided valuable first-hand insights into the Ukrainian aviation environment and the specific requirements that must be addressed to develop a solution that is both operationally viable and adapted to local conditions.
The feasibility study will assess the prerequisites for deploying Remote Digital Tower technology and provide a solid basis for future decisions and implementation. Particular attention is being given to operational resilience, safety, regulatory compliance, training requirements and long-term sustainability.
For IBG, the project brings together our experience in Air Traffic Services, Remote and Digital Tower operations, aviation safety, regulatory frameworks and implementation support.
