A-CDM contract extension in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) have awarded the Independent Business Group (IBG), a one-year contract extension for the implementation of Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The local A-CDM partners, driven by ADAC and Etihad Airways have developed new A-CDM procedures. These newly identified procedures will be tested over the coming months in a series of trials. The scheduling of these trials will be aligned to optimise the integration process with newly procured or upgraded operational systems.

With the rapid expansion of Abu Dhabi Airport including the state of the art ‘Midfield Terminal Complex’ under final construction to meet the ever-increasing traffic demand forecasts, A-CDM implementation will ensure operations, and maximised use of the infrastructure. A-CDM enhances predictability of the operations, by the sharing of real time data and the creation of a “no blame” culture by a new way of working and trust amongst local partners.
