SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Responsibilities
JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Quantity Surveyor supports the Commercial Team in managing valuations, payment applications, variations, cost control, final accounts, and commercial reporting for airport and infrastructure works.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, review, and assess IPCs, payment applications, valuations, and commercial
- Review, evaluate, and substantiate variations, change orders, and cost
- Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, measurement sheets, and supporting commercial
- Support cost control, cash flow forecasting, cost reporting, and budget
- Assist in the preparation and settlement of final
- Coordinate with site teams, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to validate quantities and
- Review contractor submissions and ensure compliance with contract
- Maintain commercial records, trackers, and substantiation
- Support claims and contractual assessments where commercial input is
- Guide junior QS staff and support quality control of commercial
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or commercial
- Minimum 3 years’ airport, aviation, or major infrastructure experience
- Consultancy, PMC, contractor, or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of measurement, valuation, variations, IPCs, and final
- FIDIC experience
- MRICS or equivalent professional certification
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Aconex, and commercial reporting
Skills
- Airport expansion or large infrastructure project
- Familiarity with UAE construction contract
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and
