PLANNER (FORENSIC ANALYSIS)
Responsibilities
JOB OVERVIEW
The Planner (Forensic Analysis) blends project planning expertise with the ability to investigate delays, disruptions, and performance issues using forensic techniques.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze project schedules and delay events to determine root causes and quantify impacts.
- Conduct forensic delay analysis using methods such as Time Impact Analysis (YIS), As-Planned vs As-Built, Window Time Slice Analysis and Hybrid (Windows Time Impact Analysis).
- Prepare claims documentation, including delay narratives, impact assessments, and supporting evidence through contemporaneous records.
- Review contractor schedules for logic, accuracy and compliance with contract requirements
- Maintain detailed documentation to support findings in potential arbitration or litigation
- Provide insights on schedule performance, slippage and mitigation strategies
- Identify excusable, compensable, concurrent, and non-excusable delays.
- Performing what-if simulations for time impact as part of EIAR or variation process.
- Prepare notice of delays to the Contractor.
- Carry out other functions and responsibilities as may reasonably be assigned by the Planning Manager/Resident Engineer/Project Director in support of project objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related
- Minimum 12 years of total experience in planning, scheduling, or project controls.
- Minimum 5 years of specialized experience in Forensic delay analysis, claims preparation, dispute resolution support
- Airport, infrastructure, aviation, or large construction project experience
- Proficient in MS Office, Aconex, Primavera P6 and contract management
Skills
- Strong claims writing & narrative development
- Strong understanding of CPM logic and schedule integrity
- Forensic delay analysis techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple contractual
- Strong attention to detail and record
- Practical understanding of construction project delivery and commercial
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and entitlement principles.
