DMAN expertise to Dubai
Independent Consulting’s Aviation Efficiency Business unit have completed the delivery of a set of DMAN deliverables to Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS).
DANS is assessing how the departure management process can be improved at Dubai International Airport (DXB). To support this objective Independent Consulting Aviation Efficiency unit was selected to provide expertise to develop:
- DMAN concept of operations (CONOPS);
- Operational requirements; and
- Business case.
Kim Silander, senior DMAN expert, led the project together with Dave Hogg providing A-CDM input to the project. The team conducted a number of site surveys to assess the current situation for the Aerodrome controllers working in the ATC Tower in DXB. Based on these site surveys a gap analysis was made to identify what constraints existed and potential mitigation possible. An implementation strategy will be defined for the short, medium and long term.
